Do what makes the experience better" - in regards to PCs and Life itself Quit crapping on threads you dont know jack Sh!t about. People ON OVERCLOCK.NET/HARDFORUMS have been posting gpu temp improvements since 2018 in other cases besides the p500 a that have this same design concept. IT'S HILIARIOUS that you don't even know about this mod. which is why my bench marks temps are always better with both of my case panels on. I You loose static pressure of the fans with the side panel off. 3-5 deg with the side panel removed? NOT WITH THIS CASE. they have listed a thinner cage that can be 3d printed just to help eliviate this airflow problem. Even Phanteks has responded to my design on facebook and has admitted that the hard drive cages should have been designed differently and located to the top of the case instead of the bottom. IS this all you do ? Wonder around this forum crapping on peoples threads you know nothing about ? Do you even own this case? Nope. Look I get it, you want attention for your design that's all fine and well but your claim of 3-5C belongs on an episode of "$#it manufacturers say" lolĬraptacularOne glenn37216 CraptacularOne The fan in the basement is usually there to provide some airflow to any drives you may have in the drive cage, not really a good idea to cut it off if you do have any drives down there. 5C is about the temperature differential from removing an entire side panel of a case, no way is your magic shroud providing that much more fresh air unless you're running that bottom fan at 10,000RPM. And you're claiming 3-5C improvement from your shroud? LOL ok, not only is that ridiculous and stupid but it's also not possible from merely directing some more very low pressure air into the main opening. ![]() That's why the engineers of the case have the fans reach that low is to provide some air to the dives down there. I appreciated the condescending reply but it's not guesswork. Glenn37216 CraptacularOne The fan in the basement is usually there to provide some airflow to any drives you may have in the drive cage, not really a good idea to cut it off if you do have any drives down there. Email me at your address and I'll send it to ya. Published ! For those that tested this shroud for me thanks ! I have 1 shroud I can send you shiphtfour if you want it. It's a small amount but atleast no airflow is wasted now. ![]() I've (and my testers)done extensive temp testing doing gpu burn in tests with a 1080 ti, 3080, 3080 ti, 3090. However, with the shroud there is a noticeable temp decrease on gpu's. the small holes on the cages are not big enough to make a temp difference of any airflow that gets to them. The Hard drives cages airflow from the fans are blocked by metal on all sides. There is zero temp differences with the shroud installed vs not.
